PixyJobs Affiliate Program launched

17th November 2008

Recently I told you about my latest project, the web design and development job board PixyJobs. I told you that I was going to build an affiliate program and that's what this post is about. I decided to have some fun and went ahead and built a system of my own.

PixyJobs - Web Design & Development Jobs

It's a simple system that uses a referral ID and cookies to keep track of referred users. The cookies are kept alive for 30 days and affiliates earn a commission on every new listing made by the referred users in this period of time. I feel this is fair since it is a pay per sale based system and not a CPC or CPM, and will gladly pay my affiliates as much as I can.

I made the sign up as simple as I could, the form asks for no more than your name, email address, website and PayPal account (payments are only made through PayPal). Once the form is submitted it needs to be reviewed and approved, which I'll always try to do within 24 hours.

Once your affiliate account is setup you'll have access to banners and links that you can place on your website, or you can use the new PixyJobs Widget which allows you to display the job openings on your website. You will also have access to some simple statistics, showing you number of referrals (clickthroughs), sales, refunds and how much you have earned.

Payments will be made through PayPal twice a month and there is no minimum payout.

I'm using one of the banners and the widget here on this blog. All the banners and links have an alt attribute, title attribute and the rel attribute set to nofollow, providing valid output.

If you are interested or feel like helping out, and make some money doing so, have a look at the PixyJobs Affiliate Program.

Let me know what you think about this. I'd love to hear your suggestions.

Thanks for reading and have a great day!
