Blogging and WordPress Hosting

Blogging and WordPress Hosting
You won’t see many business websites these days without a blog. You may wonder why that is, especially since many companies aren’t really in the writing or advice-giving game. The reason they have a blog is the same reason you should have a blog. It keeps your site fresh and attracts traffic.

Blogs Attract Traffic

People who are surfing the Internet are always looking for something new. Even if you’ve got a great product or a terrific website, people aren’t going to log on to see the same thing they saw the day before. There may be new things on your website periodically, but if people aren’t checking regularly, then they might not find out about it that fast. When you have a blog, though, you’ve got a great way to direct traffic to fresh content every week, or even every day, which means you have a way to direct them to your main site or your call to action every day.

Find WordPress Hosting

If you run your blog through a WordPress platform, then you’ve got a great, easy way to create a professional-looking corporate blog. Note that this is different from setting up a WordPress.com blog. WordPress.com blogs are free, basic blogs that are more meant for casual bloggers. You’ll want to get your blog professionally hosted and go through Wordpress.org. The WordPress hosting will cost you money, but the WordPress platform itself is free. If you need to find WordPress hosting, or any type of web host for that matter, have a look at this site that I recently came across called WebHostingSearch.com. It’s a web hosting information guide where you can find different types of hosts with reviews.

Your WordPress Blog and Your Business

When your blog is up, be sure to keep it updated with fresh content as often as possible. Creating a blog and letting it languish defeats the whole purpose of blogging as part of your corporate strategy. If you can create a fun and compelling blog, you’ll be amazed by how much traffic you can drive to your site.

More simply, WordPress is what you use when you want to work with your blogging software, not fight it.
